Please note, due to conflicts at the New Braunfels public library, we will move our meeting date to the forth Wednesday of the month. This will start in January. Remember there is no meeting in December because of Christmas. Which, by the way, have a Merry Christmas!!! And go fishing!!!

Good Class Turnout
Another successful fly fishing event. Thanks to all the volunteers that came out to introduce the sport of fly fishing. All the participants got hands on instruction from local guides and then went to river to fish with the guides and applied the class to real world fun!

Fly Tie night this Tuesday Dec 10th
This coming Tuesday (Dec. 10th) is our NBFF Fly Tying get together for December. It will be held at the American Legion Hall at 410 West Coll Street in New Braunfels from 7 to 9 pm. With the 8000+ lbs. of trout that have been stocked in the Guad. recently there should be plenty of good fishing. We will by tying a trout favorite this month – the Bead head Pheasant Tail. Come join us and learn how to tie this favorite and help support the club fly raffle with flies that we have at the general meeting the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Library in New Braunfels. The Fly Tying meeting is open to all members of the NBFF and we can supply all tools and supplies necessary for tying or you may bring your own. Hope to see you there.

Outing to Castell Dec 12th
The New Braunfels Fly Fishers will travel to Castell on the Llano River on December 12th. TPWD are stocking trout on the 11th. We will meet at Brookshire Brothers, Canyon Lake, located at 18275 FM306 at 7:00 am. We will have a pit stop in Fredericksburg at Hill Country Donuts. We will break for burgers at Castell General Store around noon. We will leave Castell around 4:00 pm. If you would like to go, and can/cannot drive, let me know so that we can carpool.
