POSTPONED! – Texas Line and Leader

Texas Council Fair goers,

With much regret, we are postponing all scheduled activities for this Saturday for the Fair in Waco. Weather for Waco this Saturday is not suitable for an outdoor event, which includes casting, fly fishing tournament, and other events. Safety is of utmost importance, and that covers so much here!! Getting there, setting up, and especially take down, when the threat of severe weather is a possibility. It’s the right decision to make, in our opinion. And we have received concerns from others as well.

We will review the possible dates and venues in the am with the Waco Parks and Recreation team. Please cancel any reservations you may have made, before they possibly charge you for that.
I hope that each of you will be open to attending a new date, as we have a great event planned for you!!

Please also share this news on your social media sites, and club news outlets, so others do not attempt to attend.

Sincerely, The Texas Council FFI

Troutfest 2025

SAVE THE DATE!

GRTU would like to thank all of our Sponsors, Donors, and Exhibitors who have supported us over the past seventeen years and made Troutfest TX a bucket list destination fly fishing show for exhibitors and attendees from across the country. Troutfest TX 2024 was another record-breaking year— chilly conditions on Saturday didn’t stop us from having the highest single-day attendance in TFTX history. Once again the Banquet and Movie Night were sold out well in advance of the weekend festivities. We added new vendors, a dedicated fly-tying tent, and a mermaid. 🧜‍♀️ Planning is already in the works for next year…

Mark Your Calendars for February 21-23, 2025

Sponsor, Donor, and Exhibitor applications will open this summer along with volunteer sign-ups. Banquet and Movie Night tickets will go on sale in the fall. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.

Thank you for your continued support and see you at TFTX 25!
