Winter is here, and the trout bite is on! The Guadalupe has had several stockings of trout with one of the loads containing a good number of Palominos. There’s a variety of bug hatches, so there’s a long list of fly patterns and techniques that are producing some bites. Dries, nymphs, and streamers have all had success so far. We’ve had a good amount of cloud cover and unusually warm air temps. Fishing without waders has been the norm, but will likely change soon.
