NBFF Fly Tying Session

What –   NBFF Fly Tying Session
When – This coming Thursday (April 2) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Where – Westside Community Center
              2932 South IH 35 Frontage Road
              New Braunfels
Come join in the fun this Thursday for another NBFF Fly-Tying session.  We will be learning about and tying some “Soft Hackles”.  The club will supply the needed materials and if you’re new we have several sets of fly-tying tools to use, or you can bring your own.  Tie a few for yourself and tie a few for the monthly club raffle.  This is a good opportunity to learn about different kinds of flies.
Because of construction, please enter the building from the back, thru the gym.  Our tying room is thru the door on the left side of the gym and just to the left again.

WORD free fun fish event

GRTU is looking for folks to help with an intro to fly casting instruction booth at the WORD fun fish on Saturday, February 25.
They need 2 people 9-1 and 2 people 1-4:30.

NBFF Fly Tying Session

Here are some photos from lasts nights Fly Tying session at the Westside Community Center.  We practiced our dubbing skills by tying the Hare’s Ear.  A good Fly for Trout on the Guadalupe.  So many fly’s have dubbing, this is a skill that you will use often, not only when tying a fly for the Guadalupe, but pretty much anywhere. Our next session will be March 2nd (Thursday) starting at 6:00 pm.  Hope to see you there.
