TP&WD signs Fishing Lease agreements

TP&WD signs Fishing Lease agreements on the
Llano River and other Texas river basins

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has signed fishing lease agreements that allow public river access across private land in eight premier Texas river basins.

Anglers and paddlers may use these leased areas for fishing and launching kayaks, canoes or other non-motorized boats.  Check the TP&WD web page.

2022 GRTU Youth Trout Camp

Applications for the 2022 GRTU Youth Trout Camp are available now thru November 7, 2021. This years camp is January 14-16, 2022 at RioGuadalupeResort.com. The video below is from previous years and will give you a bit of the flavor of what goes on during the weekend. 2022 GRTU Youth Trout Camp Application
CAMP INFORMATION:

Dates: January 14-16, 2022
Age: 12-17 year old girls and boys
Location: Rio Guadalupe Resort 14130 River Road New Braunfels, TX 78132
Cost: $200 for Youth. One Parent/Guardian attend at No Cost. Includes Food and Lodging in riverside cabins!
Applications are DUE by November 7, 2021. Financial Sponsorships are available for those in need.

Please read all of the instructions carefully. Admission to camp is a competitive process. Applications will be reviewed and scored. The top 24 selected applicants will be promptly notified of their acceptance. We are seeking 12-17 year old girls and boys who are highly motivated, active in a variety of extracurricular activities, and interested in the outdoors, fisheries and wildlife, and natural resource conservation. If that sounds familiar, this camp is for you!

Please note: Youth will need waders for camp. Please purchase or rent waders before camp.
